Chats
Interact with your data in natural language
The Chats
page is your conversation hub where you can view all AI chat sessions, start new chats, and manage your chat history within your Vectorify project.
What you’ll see
When you navigate to the Chats
page, you’ll find a split-screen layout with two main areas:
Chat List Sidebar - On the left side, you’ll see:
- A filter section to search and organize your conversations
- A scrollable list of all your chat conversations with timestamps and user information
- An empty state message if you haven’t started any conversations yet
Chat Messages Area - On the right side, you’ll see:
- The active conversation with all messages displayed chronologically
- A message input form at the bottom to continue the conversation
- Chat header showing the conversation name and source type
Understanding chat structure
Each chat conversation contains messages between you and the AI Agent.
Message Display includes:
- User messages are aligned to the right with a grey background
- AI Agent responses aligned to the left with timestamps
- Real-time typing indicators when the AI Agent is generating responses
Starting new chats
You can create new chat conversations directly from the page by:
- Using the message input form when no chat is selected
- The system automatically creates a new chat session and adds it to your chat list
Notes
Chat conversations are automatically saved and persist across sessions. Depending on your project configuration, Vectorify supports individual and multi-tenant chat scenarios.
